What will I learn?

EMT

• Learn the basics of scene size-up, patient assessment and patient treatment.
• 24 hours of clinical experience.
• Upon successful program completion, you’ll be eligible to take the National Registry of EMTs exam at the EMT level.

ADVANCED EMT

• Gain understanding of pathophysiology and an expanded scope of practice with additional medications, assessment and treatment.
• 90 hours of hospital clinical experience and 70 hours of ambulance or fire service internship.
• Upon successful program completion, you’ll be eligible to take the National Registry of EMTs exam at the paramedic level

PARAMEDIC

• Attain a higher level of knowledge in patient assessment, pathophysiology, diagnostics and treatment.
• 230 hours of clinical experience and 360-480 hours of ambulance internship
• Taking general education classes as part of the Paramedic AAS program rounds out your overall education.
• Upon successful program completion, you’ll be eligible to take the National Registry of EMTs exam at the paramedic level.

BAS ADVANCED PARAMEDIC PRACTICE

• Takes the AAS in paramedicine to a higher level.
• Upon successful program completion, you’ll be eligible to take the IBSC certifying exams in community paramedic and critical care paramedic.
